Farming heide knight armour, but can't find the knight!

So I used a BA in the lost bastille on the bonfire in the cell, I come across a red phantom but after I kill the phantom the knight is not sitting where he supposed to be. Can anyone tell me why?

Just farm the set in Heide's Tower.

Well they are respawning it's just they aren't dropping anything. Plus I have not even heard of this method, every time I research the heide's set farm it tends to be the forest of giants or last bastille.

Well I have farmed the area for cracked blue orbs several times and the knights drop all pieces of the set but the rate isnt very high - what is your soul memory, I might be able to give you the set

That would be nice of you but I would rather get it with hard work, as long as I know that I can get it by just farming and farming I will carry on, I just wanted confirmation, thanks.

You're looking at outdated information then, since that applies to the original Dark Souls 2, not the Scholar of the First Sin version.

Heide Knight Set - Heide's tower of flame (rare)
Heide Knight Sword - Heide's tower of flame(rare)
Heide Spear - Sinner's Rise (100% drop rate)
Heide Lance - The Gutter (100% drop rate)
Heide Knight Iron Mask - The Gutter (100% drop rate)

Well after countless of hours I finally got it. I dont want to dissapoint you guys but after a few sec looking at it on my char it looks awful, way to waste time hah. I should have really checked how it looks like on yt.

Regarding the one in the Gutter, in my experience (so take this with as much salt as you wish) the Lance drops only without any item discovery boosting gear on. With item discovery boosting gear, he starts dropping regular armor pieces instead of the lance (not just his mask, but the chest, leg and gauntlets as well/instead).

Again, that is just form my personal experience. Also, he does not respawn, even with CoC, so Bonfire Ascetics are required for getting him multiple times.

For everything else though, CoC covenant in Heide's is best imo.

Thanks for the tip, I might aswell leave CoC then since I got everything in Heide.

The Gutter knight can also drop the Heide Greatlance, the one Maldron uses, very rarely. It took me around 13 BAs to get it.
