Missing a big soul? - SPOILERS

So I killed the 4 bosses with the 4 primal bonfires but when I check my inventory I only have 3 big orange souls:

Sinnner

Old King

Rotten

Why am I missing one and how do I get it?

the big spider soul is in the boss room. you need to pick it up. and it's the same spot when you get Kinship, where you teleport to the ancient dragon memory to pick up another boss soul.

Freya is displayed as a golden soul for me^^

You need to interact with the strange light spot in freya's boss room.
Freya itself isn't a "Great Soul of the Old Ones".

(Yes, there is a Great Soul to get. But spoilers.)

ok I just went back to the spider area and no soul. There is a crystal like structure in front of the dribbling dragon that I can examine. but examining it does nothing. What is that for?

Checking my inventory I have one regular boss soul for the Spider Freya, but it is regular gina soul not orange.

What has happened? Where is my 4th boss soul?! Has my save corrupted and should I restart?

I think it's right... the only big soul that is same is : Sinner, Rotten, Old Iron King, Soul of the King, Ancient Dragon Soul, Giant Lord Soul,

You don't get an "Great Soul" item from Freya. If you interacted (examine) with the light spot (which becomes later the crystal structure), you would only get a "Great Soul Embraced"

I think, this already happended, otherwise the crystal would not appear. Did "Aldia"" appear after your fourth boss fight?

There is a reason for it (and i am sure some nerd spoils it for you).

I just googled it and Aldia is that fire dragon thing that knocks you back right? Yes that appeared. I think it looks like you only get 3 orange souls.

I just opened the winter door to the big castle area so I guess my game save is ok! phew

Yep, Freja only protects the soul.
