Forgotten Key, Black Gulch

If you happen to go to the area with the Elite giants who are supposed to drop the Forgotten key and a giant soul, you might encounter the same problem i did, i had 3 giants but no drops, if this is the case, simply homeward bone to the last bonfire you used, rest and then revisit the location it should then have only 2 giants this time, once the 2nd one dies you should get your rewards.

Giant count depends on the number of summons you have. (Even if they died.) No idea about the drop, maybe there was a 4th one in a corner.

Exactly, yesterday i was helpin a friend get the key, he was on ng+, i was the only summon, and there were 4 of them.

Ah good to know, just thought i'd start this thread as when i was trying to find out why there was no key after killing 3 of them i could not find any helpful info through searching the net.
