For max damage you may as well infuse with dark or something, otherwise it's pretty decent even if you leave it regular
I dont see why it would be good to infuse it with Dark, if he will have next to no scaling with it, whilst his over the top melee stats seem they would surpass Dark infusing with the scaling alone. Splitting attack outputs do suck, and really depends on the enemy its used on.
Granted, there are a few mobs and a couple of bosses where the infusion will do less damage than a regular wep, but for the most part it's worth it. OP could even kill Agdayne and buy a 2nd darkdrift from Melentia, and have one infused and one regular for different situations.
I made a Benhart build a while back and ended up having a bluemoon gs that was raw infused, and another that was dark infused (and the mlgs to use on enemies weak to magic) and that setup worked really well
so basically I could just go with it regular +10 ... btw I'm doing this just to try to confuse some people in pvp due to the almost-invisible blade
I know most of pvpers won't fall for this cheap trick but ..... whatever lol
It will catch a few people off guard in the first few swings. But, as the saying goes, fool me once...
I think the best way to really get people with it is to use a caestus or bonefist and play the fight like normal, and when you see an opening, swap to the katana for the sneak attack.
Otherwise, if you are playing anyone who isn't a total nublet they will spot the moveset immediately and adjust their playstyle accordingly.
