should i kill creighton after the fight?

i did the pate-creighton side quest

i killed pate like the last time just to get the creighton set at the end

but what if i kill creighton too after the fight ended?

did i still get the engraved gloves in the chest? what happens?

If you speak to Creighton and he gives you the key, you may then kill him without consequence and purchase his armour from Melentia in Majula. You'll still be able to get the Engraved Gauntlets if he's dead or alive.

but i got all pate's armor, all creighton armor, 2 identical rings of thorns and 2 creighton mask, the last one killing him

You got Pates set spear n ring of thorns from the questline. Kill the last giant with him, then talk to him in earthern peak.
you got the ring of thorns for killing pate at the end.
you got creightons mask and the key as rewards for killing pate.
you got the mask as a drop for killing creighton afterwards and the rest of the set was purchased from hag.

i think that's how it went. But it's been a while since I did their whole questline inc killing them both.

Minor spoilers if you haven't found out yet.

They're both ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that want to screw you over. Not sure what either of their intentions were since you talk to them throughout the game and they even give you stuff and their end goal seems to be little more than to lead you to a chest that may hurt you a little. The quest-line ends the same no matter who you help.

You can buy the equipment of whoever dies, and whoever you help will give you their equipment. If they give you their equipment by helping you, I'm not sure if you also get duplicates if you kill them right afterwards.

i already found out that theyre both scumbags

i'm leveling 2-3 characters at the moment, i just had yet to kill both of them

the only difference i saw, for now, is that when you open the booby-trapped chest nobody says that "should leave a nice scar" phrase

actually this is the best timeline since my last laugh was only one roll away from the trap
