This reminds me... My favorite negative review complained about players dying to petrification in doorways to block them, and putting down orange messages so no one could open hidden doors. I think he rage quit the game in Things Betwixt over it.

Except the statues aren't players, and messages don't block hidden doors...

which one? the one by cardinal tower- fire bomb or fire sword.

the one at lost bastille walk into the barrel at the top of the steps, it will roll down. dont whack the barrel.

If that's the cardinal tower one, you need to clip through the wall to hit the explosive barrels on the other side. It isn't easy. IMO it's simple enough to just walk through the area and blow it up from the other side, as then you just need to target the barrels themselves and not try to clip through the wall itself.

go to the other side of the wall where the abrrels are stacked up, it takes literally 15 seconds.
go downthe ladder from the bonfire.
through the fog wall that leads up the big trere trunk
then just run past the enemies and the barrles are straight ahead.
cant miss them
