I Killed The Last Sinner And Didn't Get His Soul

Why is that?! I want to pass thorugh the shrine of winter but the soul isn't even in my inventory (and I'm almost 100% sure I didn't consume it)

Warp to the four-way intersection in the shaded woods. Take the path that has falconers guarding it. Search inside that path.

you need the kings ring to enter there,a nd by the time you have kings ring, youll be at 1 million souls.

Did you get through by now?
If not maybe you missed the great souls after "The Duke's Dear Freja".
The red glowing orb is the great soul, that spawns in the arena after you kill her.
You need to pick it up.

And shrine of winter is reached from the forked road bf's left path.

Just want to make absolutely sure about everything. Yes, I'm going to be very specific/pedantic. We have to be when trouble shooting, even doing really basic things that seem obvious. Please actually do these things, don't just say "yes, I think that's true", actually go and check.

Checklist: Soul of the Rotten
Old Iron King Soul
Soul of the Duke's Dear Freja
Soul of the Lost Sinner (it's a she btw)

It is not in your consumable item inventory? (please do not skim. go slow and check every soul item one by one to make absolutely sure)

It is for-absolute-sure not in your bonfire-box? (same plea as above)

You are able to walk up to each of the 4 primal bonfires behind each boss room (as far as I know you don't have to light them, but it may be worth doing it anyways if any are not)

You have talked to Aldia at a Primal Bonfire? (not required afaik, but it is a triggered event when you have defeated all 4 old ones)

At the Shrine of winter, the first set of doors do not open? If they are opened, you are not going into the fountain inside the shrine (as that is the entrance to one of the DLCs, to pass the shrine of winter you simply walk past the fountain and through to the other side... and yes, this was the issue once before)

Perhaps try a quit game, restart game, then talk to the Emerald Herald (if you haven't already, she should mention the fact that you now have many powerful souls and should go to the castle)

I may have to test this, but I have my doubts that eating the boss soul or turning it into a weapon should prevent the shrine of winter from opening. That would be a glaring error and the type of bug that should have been fixed many patches ago (though I will not put anything past game dev's under time constraints).

However, if you have actually confirmed in game that you can go to all 4 primal bonfires and the first door of the Shrine of Winter is still closed to you, then your game may indeed have glitched and your best bet to continue this game's progress is to collect 1 million total souls to force open the door.

No, you are not at the shrine of winter. The shrine of winter does NOT ask you to produce the symbol of the king.

the dlc area shrines all require their own keys. dragon talon, frozen flower, and old iron key.
dragon talon is behind the "forgotten door" at the bottom of the longest ladder in majulas hole.
old iron key is in the fire lizaard pit in cardinal tower. frozen flower is in the castle.
