PS3 Controller and DS2: SOTFS - XInput Wrapper

Hey everyone,

I just mananged to get DS2 SOTFS working with my PS3 controller.

I bought DS2 sotfs during the sale, and I figured a few other people might have been having problems. I noticed a few threads in here talking about it, and I had seen mixed results so I figured I would just give a quick breakdown of everything that I did to get it working with Win10 x64


Go to:

• Click "Download latest version here. [1.2.0.160]"
  
• Click "Download latest update here. [1.2.2.175]"
  
• Unpack both of those files from your Downloads folder using 7Zip (or whatever other program to unpack them)
  
• Make a folder named "Scarlet.Crush Productions" in C:\Program Files (x86). (You can call it something else, but this is the standard name that's used in tutorials. The directory should read "C:\Program Files (x86)\whatevernamehere". If you do use a different folder name, use that in place of Scarlet.Crush Productions in the examples below.)

THIS PART IS IMPORTANT

• Copy/Paste the "ScpServer" folder from that folder you just unpacked, 1.2.0.160, into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Scarlet.Crush Productions"
  
• ONLY AFTER you have copy/pasted that folder...
  
• Copy/Paste the ScpServer folder from the other unpacked folder, "1.2.2.175", into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Scarlet.Crush Productions"
  
• It will ask if you want to override some stuff, hit yes and confirm for all other conflicts

After the overwrite has completed

• Go into the ScpServer folder that was just overridden, run ScpDriver.exe As Admin. (If you don't see a file named ScpDriver.exe, ya dun goofed. Delete and recopy the folders in the right order. 1.2.2.175 is the update to 1.2.0.160. You need to have both 1.2.0.160 and 1.2.2.175 for this to work.)
  
• "Configure Service" and "Bluetooth Driver" should be selected. If you plan on using a really old Bluetooth dongle, you might have to also check "Force install", which will make it take longer. I didn't use that option, so no clue what to do if that part doesn't work.
  
• (In Windows 10) You will have a confirmation box asking if you want to allow it to install something, hit yes.
  
• You should see "Install succeeded." in the printout at the end.

Weird sidenote: I have my PS3 in the room next to me. When I hit the powerbutton on the PS3, it turns on the PS3, even if it's connected to my PC. I assume the "focus" is then given over to the PS3...not my PC. If you have a setup similar to this where your PS3 is close by, try and turn off the physical power switch on your PS3 so it wont turn on by mistake. You could also unplug it or something.
