Where is the heide knight in the gutter?

Trying to get his lance, but I cant find him.

He's on a rocky ledge that requires you to first drop down onto a tiny outcropping of broken wood that is very difficult to see without a torch in hand to get to the structure that is beside his napping spot.

There are some youtube videos showing the way...

edit: also, be warned, he does NOT respawn, and it is not a garunteed drop, despite what any wikis say (I know because it took me 4 bonfire ascetics respawning him before he dropped it for me)

Could you approximate where he is at? I can't view youtube because I'm living in China and my VPN isn't working.

From the first bonfire, cross the bridge to where there is a sconce and two hollows.

Drop down to the platform with the 3 sconces right beside each other.

Head across the bridge.

You will be on a new structure with a sconce to your right, a bridge to your right leading to acid pots and a mean dog, a ladder to your left, and a sconce behind that ladder. It is from this structure that you will be dropping from (the opposite side from the bridge you entered from)
