So I pulled a lever in Aldia's Keep...

Alright then.... so despite the hundreds of messages telling me not to, I pulled a lever at the beginning of Aldia's Keep, and than found an NPC telling me that I'll "Never escape him", what have I just done to myself?

You just freed a psyochopath NPC who will invade at different areas through the rest of the game. If you didn't free him, you could have done his sidequest for some loot, but it is too late now.

Note: if you kill him right now, he will not invade you.

Didn't you just say that you found him? Go back there. If he isn't there, then too bad, you will have to ward him off a couple times.

I think he was near the giant stairs, at the bottom.

Fun fact if you do his quest and then free him he will still try to kill you even though you..."killed" everyone he told you to...

He does give and sell some really good stuff to talk to the insane version you must be hollow then you can do his questline (note you dont really have to kill anyone if you do it late game)

Is navlaan supposed to be a badass? I've found him quite easy in my first playthroughts.

He gets annoying but I wouldn't say badass now luceitel (I know I spelled that wrong) she is badass (helped me beat smelter demon and lived) and lets not forget our friend benhart.
