Heeeeeck nah. It looks like somebody sculpted it in Hammer (level editor for the Source engine games, e.g. TF2 and HL2) and thought it looked good enough to ship after finishing the first draft.
DS2 has great stylized graphics. The best in the series.
DS1 litteraly has most of the stuff that people hate in DS2: like
Copy pasta bosses, ganks, etc.
But everybody just seems to ignore that and ♥♥♥♥`s on a game that was created by B team of grunts that actually made a good game with a lot of experimental stuff that people liked and was used in DS3 ad ER.
DS1 doesn't have more ganks than DS2. The only gank that there is is from the undead before the Gargoyles. Otherwise you face no more than 3 foes at time, normally. Most of the ganks of DS2 are made almost by 4 mobs
And no, DS1 doesn't have more copied bosses than DS2, it's the opposite. DS2 even copy pasted 3 boss fights from DS1 (Ornstein, Royal rat authority is basically Sif and the Gargoyles!).
I didn`t say that DS1 has more of it,i just said that DS1 does not get the same hate for same ♥♥♥♥ that DS2 gets absolutly demolished for. The word "most" isn`t used in the context of MORE,but IDENTICAL. The 3 bosses you listed are just easter eggs that i enjoyed fighting (exept Royal Rat its bad and i can understand it). Both games have massive flaws, but only DS2 gets all the hate.
