Inventory Full
While messing around with Cheat Engine I decided I wanted to see what the unused & reskinned items were like. Upon turning a lifegem into the blue longsword I was greeted by a messaged that my inventory was full once I attempted to pick it up from the ground. My inventory is far from full (this is a fresh character). I'm wondering if there are any players in here that have successfully added these to their game.

Dark Souls (1, 2, and 3) determines inventory fullness on an item-by-item basis: You have infinite slots, but each item type has a finite stack size; Trying to put any more into your inventory beyond the limit will hit you with the Inventory Full prompt and leave the remaining quantity in the chest/on the ground.

Maybe it says "Inventory Full" because you have 99 lifegems? If you do, try eating one, then trying again and seeing if it works.

It was a fresh character. nothing was full. It was saying inventory full when trying to pick up the unique longsword. If I changed it to another weapon it would allow me to pick it up.

Isn't the answer obvious then? The maximal stack of blue longswords you can have is 0. Trying to pick up any more of them than 0 results in an "inventory full" message.

You could try replacing one of normal longswords already in your inventory with this one through direct item modification. Can't guarantee the results.

If whatever you're trying doesn't end up working, try putting them directly into your inventory, using this method[gamedb.gg]. It might be a bit more involved, depending on what you're currently trying, but it works. It should even allow you to drop the unreleased re-skins (edit: those, who are fully implemented), like the black Rapier or golden Great-Axe and pick them back up again.

You def did something wrong while turning the lifegem code to the blue longsword one. That has never happened to me before and I have done it thousands of times.

Have you done it online? Have you been banned?

Everything I read online in older steam discussions has people doing this online and being completely save from bans. I've no idea if the servers will ever come back on, but knowing there are multiple people in scholar edition who have done this for years with no ban is a good sign that if the servers come back on ours accounts are safe.

My method was to drop the gem, go into the CT, click the dropdown menu for the item name & select the seemingly appropriate longsword from the list (this one in particular was way at the bottom near other named, unused, items; so mostly guessing it was the blue longsword). If there's another method you can advise i'm open to trying new things. I mostly only know half of what i'm doing with this CT (cheat scripts and basic item swapping/upgrading, mostly).

My alt got banned for freecam and flyscript online, but I rather spawn stuff offline just to be sure (who cares now tho, servers are not coming back any soon).

Edit: spawning LEGAL items is completely safe, as long as it is obtainable in the game it's safe to spawn, even the recolored versions are safe, with a few exceptions like crowns, key of the embedded and story related items.

Did you check if it was the correct code tho? Durability? Quantity? Infusion and upgrade?
I've worked with several CE tables and they basically just work the same way. I could help if you want but I have very little free time nowdays.

I've no clue what the item id's are for these reskins (although I just found this list (https://pastebin.com/76XCCF6B); I'm guessing "Longswrod (Moonlight)" is the reskin). I've little other data for the items, though. I do hear they have the same stats of the normal items, though. I'll try again with this id list.

One thing that does perplex me on this CT (but is off topic) is not being able to increase covenant rank for easier rewards (like for bell keepers). The CT has options to toggle your active covenant, view/toggle rank, progress, and discovered, but the game doesn't respond when entering values for progression. I swear I was able to do this years ago, but can't figure out why it's not working now.

Update - Dropping my Fire Longsword and directly inputting the item id from the pastbin list worked. I'm guessing the Longsword I selected from the dropdown menu was a different item or I simply didn't realize it never updated the items stats for things like durability.

Oh yeah, you cannot directly edit your rank in covenant without editing your points too and speaking to the covenant leader, weird but it's necessary for the game to recognize the rank up.:praisesun:

That sounds like what I did. I tested with the Way of Blue; first increasing my points from 0 to 1; then talking to Crestfallen. Nothing happened, so I tried forcing rank up from 0 to 1, then talking. Still nothing happened.
