Need tips for a Good Melee / Magic Hybrid build.

Hi guys , I always played DS as pure melee ( STR -DS1 / Quality - DS3 ) but since i heard quality build in DS2 is ♥♥♥♥ compared to other i want to try something new ( kind of ) i want to know whats the best build for Melee / Self buff build... i will mostly be melee again but i want to be able to buff my weapon with elemental damage and infuse my weapon... The only weapon buff i got so far is Great Magic Weapon.

Curently at SL 74 ( will do a respec ) starting class - Warrior using a +7 claymore ( dont really have anything better atm)

I don't know where you heard that quality-builds are ♥♥♥♥, but I'd discard that source as a credible one as soon as possible.

Anyway, it's pretty simple. Min Str/Dex for your gear of choice, pump Int (50 is the softcap), infuse the weapons with Magic, buff them with GMW.

is GMW the best weapon buff or i should go with Flame buff or Lightning?

It's situational. There's a better magical buff than GMW. And also 2 Dark ones.

Flame Weapon is, after Magic Weapon, pretty much the worst buff. It works kind of weird, it's actually the worst choice of all buffs to put on a Fire-infused weapon.

Dude, it's SITUATIONAL, depending on the enemies' weakness(es). There is no ultimate best buff...

I just said that Flame Weapon is in general a worse choice.

I'm trying out a mixed build right now... IMO the game actually gets easier if you combine a ranged-attack sorcery with some melee weapons... even if sorceries are harder to cap out than a good melee weapon, having access to free rechargeable projectiles is pretty neat. The shield buffs also are pretty useful, they seem to buff stability as well so you lose less stamina and get knocked back less.
