2.drangleic sword
Club/Mace (I like the Club's 1hR1s more, but it's less damaging, still anything dies quickly anyway). It's useful against the early game armored enemies (turtles, old knights in heide's, a certain boss... just a few examples).
Greatsword, can be found in another early game area. I'd go to the Forest of Fallen Giants, get to a merchant there and buy the Club, do Heide's Tower and kill the boss towards the sea if I wanted to get it asap ;)
If you got to the mentioned merchant in the forest, buy her key - it unlocks the blacksmith in majula and he sells a few good weapons - Longsword, Battle Axe (to be replaced with a Bandit's Axe later), Estoc. All Strength-based.
The mace you get if you start as the cleric starter class is really good strength weapon if you can deal with it's short range. You can buy it from the majula blacksmith if you don't start as a cleric. There's also a regular club you can buy from Merchant Hag Melentia which has A Scaling in strength.
