Is there anything better than the Large Club? (Pure str)

I'm starting to get really worried because I'm in about 70% of my NG playthrough and didn't find a single str focused weapon that would work better and have higher damage than the large club.
I like the large club but my fashion souls code makes me hate it. Is there anything cooler for a pure str build that works just as well as this piece of wood?
idk much about ds2, especially str builds so any tip would be helpful

That weapon's doing great, because a lot of enemies in this game are weak to strike-damage. The 2HR2 can also be good vs. some more annoying enemies, like Ice Stallions at the Ivory King DLC.

There are a few things better DPS-wise. The Great Club for one, which is just a straight upgrade. But faster weapons with good base damage and counter-damage will also perform better across the board, especially with Ring of Blades and Flynn's Ring, like Craftsman Hammer, Gargoyle Bident or Estoc (also w/ Old Leo Ring), Red-Iron Twinblade (only DS2 has twinblades) or even your bare hands with the Vanquisher's Seal.

First off, get your fashion sense checked. Nothing says charm better than a large tree branch, swung about like a mad-man :)

I’m assuming you are trying to stick with large weapons.

Dragon Tooth is a good choice, and can be found very early game. It’s just past the Gargoyle fight in Lost Bastille.

Greatsword, found in No Mans Wharf or purchased from Vengarl in Shaded Woods.

Smelter Sword, made from soul of Smelter Demon. Two variants based on which smelter demon soul you use, and which vendor you use, Straid gives the fire version, Ornifex in Tseldora gives magic version.

Gyrm Axe, found in Doors of Pharros. Excellent move set.

Gyrm Greataxe, farmed off the dudes in Pharros that have the huge axes.

Drakekeeper Greathammer, farmed off the guys that wield it in Dragon Shrine.

Gyrm Greathammer, farmed off Pharros guys with giant stone shields. Best for fashion, excellent move set.

But for early pure Strength weapons you cant go wrong with a Great Club

Drakekeeper Ultra Greatsword also a good choice if you have that place unlocked, S Scaling for Strength with an easiliy ignorable D on Dex
