Is there a way to farm Humanity ?

I played a long ago with DS2 SOTFS and I remember there were some methods to farm Humanity, for example burn bonfire aesthetic in fallen forest and the chest spawn some of them, but this is also limited, of course I can buy but in the shop it is limited as well (5) so if anyone knows a good farm spot please let me know I would be very thankful!

There are enemies which drop Human Effigies. Most notable the doggies early game (many are right outside McDuff's Workshop at Lost Bastille) and the Lizardmen at Shrine of Amana which drop them a bit more often.

You can temporarily join the Company of Champions covenant to prevent regular enemies from de-spawning in order to farm their drops. Item-find boosting gear is recommended.

currently with this character im not at Amana, but tried doggos and they didnt drop anything :( put item gear on as well as champion covenant and nothing

so far, I usually just buy em off shops...
I also don't think burning ascetic for effigy alone is a good thing

also once you get King's ring, you can talk to one of those grandmas in red at Things Betwixt (the one allows you to change stat), she gives you 5 effigies if not wrong

to make it even cheaper... once you get effigies from grandma mentioned above, you can kill her, and get another 5 again. but worry not, if you decide to do that, you can still change stats, but you need to pay some souls at her graveyard to do so each time

Then you just got unlucky. It shouldn't take long for a few to drop. You can get the +2 Covetous Gold Serpent Ring from Belfry Gargoyles on NG+ (or after Burning a Bonfire Ascetic at the "Upper Ramparts"-bonfire). You can get the "+1" ring from Magerold after spending 10k souls on his shop if you don't wanna fight them again. You can also buy the Jester's Cap from him. Prisoner's Tatters and Watchdragon Parma complete the farming setup.

If you're just worried about the HP-loss from hollowing, you can just use the Ring of Binding and pump Vigor. It doesn't softcap until 50. Melentia is also a source for unlimited numbers of Lifegems, once she moves to Majula.
