is worth to kill Maughlin the Armourer?
I'm a newbie and I'm playing with a mage, but I saw on youtube someone killing this character to get the complete Tseldora Set which (according to the video), this increases +20% souls obtained... But since I don't know the game, I'm afraid of killing that character and losing some interesting mission or something more important in the future.

Melentia's is better. It is +1, gives you more souls

If you're a senseless bastard, then yeah. But he's the best fashion merchant in the game and it would make you a base murderer.

He offers armor sets of killed bosses/NPCs. Don't see extra souls worth it unless you're playing NG+something and already own all you want

He's sort of the armor/boss armor salesman. If you think you don't need to buy stuff later on, then feel free to off him.

Besides you can always resurrect NPC's for a little cost and access their services if you really, really need to buy something on later.

I beg to differ, he sells the Watcher, Penal, and Falconer sets, perfect for wayfaring mages of various castes and creeds

Speaking of boss armors (although it has nothing to do with boss armor xD), are the souls of the bosses of any use? Or can I use them to level up? I still have them stored.

Boss souls can be used to acquire certain unique weapons and/or spells, usually it's pretty obvious what you'll get based on the boss and depending on what they utilize in combat. e.g. Boss that's surrounded by poison gives you a poison weapon or spell. There are two NPCs that provide this service; one is found in the Lost Bastille, the other is a birdperson tucked away in Tseldora after you rescue them

I don't think you can buy "new" boss armor from him if you killed him (past that point), even if you resurrect him.

I think his inventory gets set at the point he dies, and his store doesn't upgrade/update with new armor.

No, he is important and his armor is not exclusive. If you want the full Souls experience in any of the games then don't kill friendly NPCs. It doesn't pay off to be a murder hobo as you lose character interactions and rewards that are gotten from following their stories which can include their armor or weapons.
