Hex spells and spice question
Some hex spells have lopsided int/faith requirements.

Dark spells are also based on the lowest value of int/faith.

That being the case, would a hex spell with a lopsided value reduced with spice do the same damage as a non-reduced spell, as long as the lower stat value is the same?

For example, let's say Dark Greatsword (55int / 29 faith).
If I use spice to reduce this to 29int / 29faith (a lots of spice farming, I know), would this deal the same damage as the spell cast at the original 55 int / 29 faith?

If so, this would make so many more hex spells easier to cast at lower levels.

Yea, since Dark BNS doesn't increase from both INT and FTH, but with what's the lowest of the 2, you can just spice down to equalize their requirements. Hexes use your catalyst's dark AR, which get's it's damage scaling from your Dark BNS.

That means, that your Dark Greatsword hex will not change in any way, wether it's a 55/29 or 29/29 stat split. So spice away. But keep in mind, that some hexes will use either FTH or INT for spell duration (mainly Dark/Resonant Weapon) and having either higher than their requirements can make quite a difference in these instances.

Thanks.
I've been avoiding more than a few high stats req hex spells.
Don't know how well it'll go, but it'll be interesting to use them.
