Guinea pig for damage calculation testing
Greeting fellow hollows! I'm running researches on how the game calculates damage, and I must say I have got some pretty good results! I managed to find a very good formula that correctly predicts physical and elemental damage. I ran my tests offline, but I'd like to do them online now.
Is there a good soul that's willing to give himself in for the sake of science?
Hit me up either here or on Discord if you are :)

Thanks! Request sent :)
Have you checked the wiki? I’m pretty sure they already did this work for you.

Yes I did (you are probably referring to that reddit post about motion values), there's a working model but the guy who did that used parameters that don't exist in game (i.e. Motion Values, the values he uses are a mix of numbers). I'm looking for something as close as to what the devs coded in the game and I'm there.
Interesting! Good luck skeleton! Be sure to post your results on the Reddit sub for the game later. ^^

I was referencing that. It’s just damage numbers and such. What are you doing differently? Sounds interesting.

No I wasn't. I was referring to the actual damage calculation formula the game uses. I hav something that works perfectly in PvE for both physical and elemental (critical damage too).
PvP uses the same formula, but has different multipliers associated to it. I think I have the values but I need to test them.

So are you making a damage calculator for a website, or as a separate application?

I'm not making a calculator. I'm trying to reverse engineer the damage formula the game uses. I have access to many variables thanks to Cheat Engine.
I will not make a calculator after I fully crack this, I will just post my findings on YT and Reddit.

Oh, ok. Well good luck!
Hello folks! RadaiYT's main account here (guess that'd be hard to tell, huh). I bring you good news!
My research on Melee damage is done! I managed to completely crack PvE melee damage, buffs and criticals included. It can partially cover PvP too but without elemental damage, unfortunately.
I will soon post my research on Reddit and on YouTube :)

Will you post an update in this thread, so we will know where to look?

Yes of course!
Interesting. Would you be willing to assign simplified variables, such as x, y, z, etc? It’s not very readable in its current state.
