help modding ds2 sotfs

the last couple days ive been trying to install the augur of darkness i do and follow the steps as shown on the tutorial i looked up and it still will not work all files are in the right place but when i boot it up i dont get the augur of darkness message however i know it might be a simple fix im new to the nexus mods scene if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated

Did you unpack the Dark souls 2 executable? There's not much that can go wrong if you're following the tutorial, im gonna paste it here just to make sure that these are the steps you're following.

1. Download and extract UXM then run it
2. Browse and select DarkSoulsII.exe, unpack button and when its done patch button.
3. Download Augur of Darkness.zip, extract contents ( 4 folders and a file) directly to your game directory (should ask to overwrite several files)

it never asked to replace the files it just unpacked in game directory

i did the uxm correctly as well and unpacked it and patched it to the exe after all that i fired the game up and nothing

Did you paste the 4 folders and a file in the game directory? Maybe you extracted all of them in a folder and put the folder with everything inside in the game directory. If it says that it has to replace some files, and nothing got replaced then there's something wrong.

and it never said it had to replace any i extracted the files to the game directory when i get back home ill do as you suggested
