Mcduff's workshop bonfire

I can't use a bonfire ascetic at Mcduff's Workshop bonfire because it keeps on telling me to beat the area boss but I've already killed the ruin sentinels. Does his bonfire somehow magically extend to all the area bosses in the Lost Bastille ??

I know for the belfry gargoyles the area boss was lost sinner. most likely the case with McDuff as well

Its probably lost sinner, if you already defeated ruin sentinels then there's no other option, gargoyles have their own bonfire

This is weird because the bonfire of the Lost Sinner is other, check if Ruin Sentinels are death, just in case you accidentaly used an Ascetic in the past.

Yes, McDuff's bonfire is pretty strange even the wiki's list nothing about item respawns other then the sentinels being the boss yet they clearly are not the "only" boss if that is the case since I'm still unable to use an ascetic after having beat the 3 of them and yes I have kindled the Servants Quarters Bonfire. Maybe it has something to do with the pursurer or a dlc I dunno.

Well the boss of the belfry is the gargoyls, and yes, they have thier own bonfire, but as i said i had to defeat the sinner before i could light the belfry bonfire. sinner's rise is the only bonfire near the sinner, but i think he counts as an area boss for sinner's rise, lost bastielle, *and* the belfry due to the lack of ability to light both mcduff's and the belfry bonfire with thier actual respective bosses gone, and with sinner unbeaten, but my guess is it's because his soul is special or something. Also, technically you can avoid fighting the ruin sentinels altogether by going around them so perhaps they count as optional bosses. quick look to google and there's a gamfaq forum that seems to corroborate sinner being the big boss for the whole area as well, though a lot of people are trolling and trying to get folks asking that question to kill mcduff himself lol. also, unrelated question: i noticed most people refer to sinner as female, but he/she seems to have a beard. is that just part of the mask then?
