Should I Use/Buy Vengarl's Red Rust Sword?

I heard that its moveset is like a curved sword, but it's as slow as an axe. I've had bad experiences with weapons with slow wind-ups, but does this one have any great qualities?

Its a curved sword for STR chars. Not many of those in the game.
Has some slight extra range in comparison to its DEX models.

A good weapon, if you like to play more aggressive and make use of its 2h moveset and running attacks.

So it's great as a heavy hitter with good range, but OK as a fast hitter? And where will I farm the twinkling titanite to level up the sword? I used up a lot of those for my armor, and I'm not sure I want to risk pissing off the dragons at the Dragon Aerie to kill the titanite bugs there.

I am talking about the "Red Rust Scimitar". Its still a curved sword. As far as STR weapons go, it is fast.

The "Red Rust Sword" is, despite its name, just an axe with slighty more range and feels somehow slower than the Bandit Axe or the Battle Axe. Never seen it outside of Vengarl cosplays.

"Shrine of Amana" hammer guys drop TT. Just get enough item find bonus items. Or ascetic the Dragon Aerie for the crystal lizards again.

Reminder: Weapons take priortiy for upgrading. Upgrading armor is just worth it, if you like to stick to a certain armor to the bitter end (cosplays, fashion souls).

It's trash, it doesn't get the 1h running > strong attack speedup.
