i'm glad that you so skilled DS player.
Also, keep in mind that the blue smelter demon has MAGIC-ELEMENTAL attacks, not fire, so stack your defenses for the correct element.
If you don't really have any options for magic defense and feel like taking a nice relaxing break by doing the most convoluted sidequest in the game, you can get the Dark Witch set (the purple long dress) by lighting all the torches in The Gutter (this triggers an invasion by an NPC wearing it at the bottom of the room with all the ladders; she drops it when killed). (If this sounds like too much work, Navlaan also sells it when you've completed his questline)
Thank you sir for your advices, after several failed attempts, i think i'll concentrate on proper weapons, because only dark weapon i have is upgraded blacksteel katana and poison weapon is upgraded black scoprion stinger which i did not use in battle with him. I have +3 magic protection ring, only thing against magic attack. I'll try to complete Navlaan quest. As for main quest i finished black gulch now. Also little bit level up my stamina may come in handy because it is 15 level. Strange thing i hadn't any troubles with bosses until this dude, i even hardly beat lost sinner for second time with bonfire ascetic to get chaos blade. I watched walkthrough video and looks like blue demon much tougher with two phantoms.
I would recommend practicing on the First Smelter to prepare.
Another piece of advice, is when he jumps into the air into a sword stabbing the ground, I would always just back up. Even if it's at the end of his combo, it's not worth misreading and him half-healthing you.
