Does DS2 have en equivalent to the Asylum Demon from DS1?
This goes out for the long-term fans of the series.
So, does DS2 have an equivalent of the first "impossible" Asylum Demon encounter from DS1?

And what about DS3?

EDIT: For example I think Demon Souls had a thing called Vanguard which the Asylum itself related to. At the time you encounter these things they seem to be impossible to beat at first.
So did they continue with this kinds of encounters?

No, ds2 didn't have any immediate boss fight.
Also with ds3 i won't say it was like a vanguard from demon souls (which you can only had one chance to kill it), but it has similar idea with asylum demon which blocking your way to accessing firelink shrine.

DS2 has 10 bosses(dual boss counts as one boss here) that can be fought before beating any other boss.

The closest thing is probably the Ogre with the Stone Ring in the tutorial area. But a "you're supposed to lose/run from the 1st encounter"-boss? Nope. I guess you're not meant to fight Vendrick right away, but he's late-game.

DS3 doesn't have that either, so i guess it was never really a tradition. IMO the Souls-series is self-referential enough already.

Technically dank souls 3 does have an asylum demon miniboss. But he's nowhere near the start of the game and there's not much special about his fight except that you're not confined to his area.
