You lose the benefits of your human form, your souls; and most importantly, your progress.
Circling and backstabs won't work in DS2 because most enemy encounters are 1v2/3 and even more and you don't have iframes during backstabs/ripostes.
Someone has never heard of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne.
