There are no PvE/Co-op covenants that use auto-summons and wearing their respective ring is not neccessary in order to get summoned or participate in their activities. This is also true for the rest of the PvP covenants not mentioned above.
no for other covenant (company of champion, brotherhood of blood, heirs of the sun, etc)
That's misleading because those simply don't have any specific summons.
Lets just leave it at that: The respective rings only matter for the bellkeepers, the rat cov and for the auto-summon of the blue sentinels (to the worlds of invaded way of blue members).
They have no impact on the general multiplayer or other covenant-exclusive mechanics like the arenas.
