Any Mods to Improve Graphics and Lightning?

Recently I came across videos and screenshots of what DS2 looked like at E3 in 2013... and that's the experience I want. Something more like DS1. Here's some screenshots and videos...

So I have a two-part question.... Are there any mods to make the graphics and lighting better? Also, will graphics mods affect online play?

On a side note... Are there cheaters/hackers in this version??

Best thing ever is Reshade.

I have experimented with Reshade in the past and normally it works great in Single player offline games. But could you use something like Reshade in DS2? Will you get banned for using it?

Lol why would you get banned for using visual enchantment? I have over 200h in SOFS with Rsahde and over 150h in DS3.

sotfs softbans if you use anything that messes with the game files, you are better off playing offline if you want to play with any kind of mods

And yes, there are hackers but most of them are at the blood arena

Reshade does get you banned if you're in online mode.

DS2 doesnt explicitly tell you if you've been Softbanned so if you've been using it online its likely you're softbanned.

Hackers are pretty rare, Ive only encountered a few but its true more are in the blood arena than anywhere else. If you wanna PVP the arena is fine but it has a lot of tryhards.
The Iron bridge and / or Dragon covenant are more casual and I find them more fun although its less active.

Do they ban your entire account and all characters associated with it? or just that individual character?

And I assume "softban" just means you play with other "banned" accounts only? or does it mean it just limits the number of people you see in the world?

its account wide and you get send to a server where all softbanned players are, there they can cheat without any more repercusions since they are already banned

Okay thanks for the info. I am just trying to weigh out the pros and cons of using visual enhancment mods.

I have SOTFS for PS4 but again... it looks god awful. The lack of lighting really takes me out of the experience. So that's why I want the PC version, so I can mod it.

Maybe I will just play offline... Here's another question...

I tend to use summons to help me with bosses I am really stuck on. Does this game have lot's of NPC summons to help you with most boss fights? Like in DS3?

Many npc summons available. Pretty sure every boss has at least one

I'm using lighting fix version 2 which I think is the reshade. It looks much better and doesn't effect anything that could get you banned.

I like when people say that, even if they don't understand what they're talking about.
For future references: nobody knows how ban system actually works and for using what exactly you may or may not get banned.

I've read that bans are based on soul memory and the items in your inventory or the comparison between the two. I never said it wont get you banned. If I thought it wouldn't get you banned, I would write you wont get banned. So ya, I understood what I was talking about, you didn't.
