HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA what a true XD in DS1 same XD
Also I don't know if my memory is playing tricks on me, but I could swear I saw one that points you to the windmill you can burn in Earthen Peak... or maybe I dreamed that, lol
I did not notice in DS1 that npc's will continue to attack after the enemy is dead, i've only seen that in ds3.
Forlorn is fun to fight especially since you can do some basic greatsword and scythe parry pratice.
There's also that other guy in the Ivory King DLC that turns into a barrel and waits for you to open a chest to backstab you, that was pretty great.
