Im having trouble understanding how it all works. It seems rather simple which is why it feels worse that i still just dont seem to get it

Basically i dont understand what it means when its asking me to make a file in the GeDoSaTo directory. Is it something i do in the tool exe, in the "pack" folder i have, in the DS2 folder config? Also its told me to find a line in the ini called EnableTextureOverride but iv skimmed over it 100 times and do not see such a line

Can anyone explain this in the simplest way possible?

EDIT: I just made the folder, one of the mods i wanted had exact instructions regarding the folder. I just need to find this texture override line

EDIT 2: Alright so iv tried my hand and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up. I pretty much just copied someones settings exactly and now when its running, dark souls wont run. Itl pop up for a short minute, then close itself. Note that i replaced EVERYTHING in the ini file with and only with everything that person had there

GeDoSaTo is for 32 bit applications only.

I believe my laptop is 32bit

The game is 64 bit DirectX 11. Meaning... you won't get it work with this version of the game. Use IGP11 tool instead to mod your game. IGP11 won't work with any other dxgi.dll libraries though, such as ReShade. Also doesn't have any downsampling method, only some stupid built in post-processing effects.

I have no idea what any of that is :P but so long as i can play with my texture mods ill look into it. I dont care to change any of the other things or make it look better visually, im easy to please with visuals. I just want to be able to retexture my stuff

Alright so iv installed it, moved all my desired texture images to the igp override folder, connected and such, and i dont see any changes. Did i miss a step?

You're probably trying to use textures for the original Dark Souls 2. They won't work. This is Scholar of the First Sin (SotFS). You have to use converted textures for SotFS specifically.

Im using Item Randomizer so its a bit hard to test which textures work xD but i know this is one mod i downloaded and i have a piece of that set, doesnt work. Is this one such mod?

One small addition just to let you know since you're probably not aware: there are chances that you'll get softbanned for using that tool or anything that hooks itself into the game process. Either play offline or if you don't care, leave it as is.

Iv been playing online, and offline. Honestly im not too concerned about a softban, but id rather avoid it and such

Theres really only 1 texture mod for a piece of equipment rather than some shader for the game that shows up when i type sotfs, so theres no point texture modding i guess :/ but the item randomizer mod is still neat. wish i could find more than 1 estus shard and like... any bone dust at all would be great

Yeah, they needed to make a separate page for SotFS as the search function will only show results that contain SotFS in title.

Well thats huge, but iv played this game so much on console that i know and am used to everythings look. Lets give it a go xD
