I was in on the steps leading up to the main gate, back peddling while fighting both Mastadons at the same time.

One of the mastadons got caught on her and killed hre (Which I didn't even know what possible) So far her tombstone has not respawned Its been over 4 hours. I am starting to think shes gone forever..Is it so?

The tombstone will appear there where she died, but maybe this NPC is different and appear in Majula (only or as well) so check both places. What's for sure is that it will spawn, but it may take more time.

I did not let her die..I tried my best but, My best wasn't good enough. At least she didn't die by my hand. R.I.P. Half dragon Waifu. With out your warm embrace and bright light showing the way, I am lost.

Update, Her tombstone does still appear in majula..Its at the places where you first meet her. you can still level up I do not advise killing any of the fire keepers, Specifically the Allocator.. because its really inconveniant to reallocate at a cost of 15,000 souls.

you do get effigies though, & so far in my SL160 playthrough i haven't needed to reallocate a single time.. plus 15k is not that much

Its not that 15,000 souls is a lot but, 150 tends to be what a lot of people aim for. and SL150 happens to be around 1.7M SM. Reallocate a few times and stacks up to a lot of wasted time and even can push you out of your SM ladder.

Also at nearly 2,000 Hours between DS2 & SOTFS I don't need Effigies all that much. In the last play through I did (Where I did kill the fire keepers I stil got over 40 Effiigies with out farming for any Effigies. Besides a souless reallocation is really nice to have.

haven't had need for a single soulvessel in my current playthrough, 5mil SM, sl160, ng+0 & nearly all bosses killed.. and plus what i use isn't even a build it's just 40str/30dex & the rest goes into VIT, ADP & VIG
