Help with lost Crystal Lizard drop (Darknight Stone @ Grave of Saints)

For those who don't know, at the end of Grave of Saints and before the Gutter, on a bridge there's a Crystal Lizard with guaranteed Darknight Stone drop. I plunge-attacked it but slipped to fall and die below, and saw the drop landed next to my body. When I went back to check, it's gone. Is there anyway I can get it back in NG? Thank you so much!

Don't understand very well what happened exactly, but I think you lost it forever, maybe try to use a homeward bone and reload area (WITHOUT DYING) then go back where the lizard was, if you don't get it I think you lost it forever, you can farm them tho, but I don't remember which enemy dropped it.

Darknight stone is dropped by basilisks.

Apart from key items nearly any drop is lost upon dying / reloading the area if you didn't pick it up

You can farm them either from Basilisks (various locations) or Leydia Pyromancers (Undead Crypt)

Thanks guys! I'll try farming, and maybe use an ascetic to respawn the lizard.

I wouldn't recommend using an ascetic for the lizard only. You can kill basilisks in Thngs Betwixt for easy infusion materials.

you could also drop an item to a friend and let them infuse it and give it back.

You're too kind! Since I had exhausted the basilisks in Things Betwixt, I ended up joining Company of Champions so that they'd respawn again and farmed them until I got a few Darknight Stones, then abandoned the covenant. Thanks for your offer though.
