Pursuer's Ultra Greatsword

Should i get it or i its better to spend his soul on level?

I died like 10 times in a row and had half of health bar, was hollowed at max (?), without gems and only 1 estus remained.
I dont want to f-up with that, so i need advice.

Will there be better weapons soon and how good is Pursuer sword compared to other weapons of this class?

It's a decent weapon
I always think that you can get souls from any other place, but not the weapon.
I am against using any boss weapon for souls. A few levels doesn't worth it (for me)

I tend to spend the boss souls that give me weapons that I'm not planning to use any time soon. I like the moveset of swords best, but I'm not to keen on using a spear or a halberd. So if a boss soul would give me the latter, I might use it for the souls/level up.

I`m testing halberd and i`ll switch to greatsword after that.
Too early for discussion, since i haven`t used anything other than broadsword + shield combo.

Can you elaborate what does easy mean.
Like Easy = Easy
or
Easy on DS level = Standard rpg experience on medium.

I haven`t encountered anything too hard yet, other than cancerous Pursuer, a lot easier, but still annoying knight with mace and those metal turtles, which attack you in groups.

what he meant was that all you have to do with that combo is duck behind the shield and poke through the game. I personally think that easy mode would be the pure sorcerer or hex build.

The PUGS isn't bad, but not good either. Plus, it's a weapo that upgrades with Petrified Dragon Bones which means it has ♥♥♥♥ damage until you upgrade it.

There are many UGS to choose and some have higher damage.

Better ultras are the Greatsword or FUGS. More efficient Ultras (for infusion + buff build) are Lost Sinner's and Zwei. The (Aged) Smelter Sword has a better moveset (honestly that just means horizontal R1s) and high AR aswell.

FUGS is very end game, I doubt he could obtain it that early.
