If you level both your Int and Fth higher, Dark becomes better.
24 Int for Dark Weapon's maximum duration is a good investment anyway. You can keep your Fth at 12 and use the Raw version, you miss the scaling obviously, but the weapon is very stat-demanding and it's got good AR and damage anyway.
If you are using this thing in PvE, however, you will run into a few rough spots with bosses that resist Dark. For this, the easy strategy is to just have a spare Greatsword or if you like, Fume Greatsword or even the Demon's Great Hammer. You'll have enough Strength to two hand the hammer, though you'll need 30 Dex for the Fume.
Also, be mindful that this weapon's durability runs out FAST, so have repair powders or the Bracing Knuckle Ring for longer travels.
