Is there anything that makes the lost sinners sword better than the pursuers ultra greatsword?
So i already have the pursuers sword and i really like it, and i dont really see how the lost sinners sword is any better than the pursuers sword, so far the only benefits i can see is when fully upgraded it has 70 more damage and is 5 pounds lighter, are those pluses worth the damage you recieve from a succesful strike?

Sin literally doesn't matter, it just deals craptons of damage for basically no investment as it has low stat requirements and is among the lightest UGS. Infuse it. Definitely infuse it. It has super high base damage. It isn't inferior to others. It's among the best pocket riposte weapons ever and has super high damage output. But the key is to make use of it's great base damage by infusing it.

It's simple, spicing down does nothing but decreasing the required stats to cast the spell.
However, decreasing the required stats goes hand in hand with not meeting the initially required stat. Basically, the people spice spells down because they want to save points in Int and/or Fth.
THAT results in less damage, as obviously less Int/Fth = less casting tool scaling and AR = less dmg.

Homing Soulmasses are "special" since the amount of orbs being casted depends on your Int stat. At base Int you won't have as many orbs as at 40 or 50 Int. The same scheme applies to other spells with multiple projectiles, such as Affinity, iirc also Dark Dance.

the lost sinners sword is trash. do even 1 invasion or kill 1 npc and BAM all of a sudden it does diddly ♥♥♥♥ for damage. keep using the pursuers, or switch to the standard greatsword if you want a different weapon with similar damage.
lost sinners sword is very nice. I`m use two of its +5dark in powerstance and have min 700+ damage (322+322+scail bonus) for every hand. truly fun with pvp oneshots with two-hand power attacks. lighter than pursuer`s, have more damage. yep, u cant use it if u have sin - every sin point get down lost sinners sword damage and yep, every strike for every enemy or destructible object do damage u. but its not so wierd

I've only used it once and it does amazing damage. I remember shield-break riposting someone during an invasion for about 90% of their health with a +5 Lost Sinner's Sword (I had 40 str and 40 dex iirc). Later on I infused it with fire because I leveled up a bit of faith (20 faith) and I beat the Lost Sinner again to use Flame Weapon on my Fire Lost Sinner's Sword, lol. It did slightly less damage than before to some enemies in PVE but it was still destroying basically anything it came across. For PVE I used the evil eye ring +1 and the ring of restoration to help negate the hp loss from attacking.

Edit: I used great heal too so I must have had at least 28 faith. Or I spiced it down but I most likely just got 28 faith. I don't like the idea of spicing down spells of any kind because it supposedly makes them weaker.

These are 3 of my favorite screenshots I took of that build: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1172807443

The first includes a quote from the Lady Friede & Father Ariandel boss fight in the first Dark Souls 3 DLC which I thought was appropriate considering what's happening in the screenshot. I destroyed one of those Ashen Idols in Brume Tower just as it cast Outcry around me. I felt like a badass.

Lost SInner's Sword is a Greatsword version of the Chaos Blade. The main problem is the broken way the game relies on PvP to clear sin.

Spice doesn't make the spell weaker except for the Homing Soulmass family of spells.
It does mean you are casting the spell with a lower stat which is the only way the spell does less. But that's not the spell being weaker, it's you. If you level up to 28 FTH and cast a spell spiced down to 20 from 28, it will do exactly the same as if you hadn't used spice.

could you explain the soul mass thing and how that lowers the damage cause I still don't understand how that would lower the damage but then again I don't play casters in this game that much

Homing soulmass is 1-5 balls per cast based on your stats. Spicing it reduces the balls by 1 per spice (to a min of 1) permanently, regardless of your stats.

correction: it does about the same damage as every other ultragreatsword, but has an absolutely terrible moveset that takes so long to attack most enemies are going to stagger you before you can R1 unless youre rocking mad poise. until you invade somebody or kill any npc in the game, then it does signifigantly less than every UGS in the game, and less than most standard GS's. kill a few more and youll quickly start seeing numbers like -150 in both your scaling slots.
