Health recovery when chugging Estus is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow.
Ok, hear me out now, having played all soulsborne games, I know that they are different games, but have similar gameplay and narrative, and I get that and the reasons. I also know that theres a lot of hate towards DSII, most of which I dont really agree with.
But, ffs, when a drink a fckin Estus, I want my health to go up for real, not slug for .7 seconds. I died so many times to Darklurker 2º phase because I healed, and then one of them just touched the tip of their swords on me.
It feels so clunky when you simultaneously need to stop moving to drink Estus, and it takes two whole eternities for it to work... smh FromSoft. :steamsalty::steamsalty::steamsalty:
(At least I can powerstance)

Try getting some levels in Adaptability, it governs the speed of using healing in DS2 as well as rolling frames. I found out it helped me a lot on my melee build :)

I wish it worked that way in DS3 too. Getting rid of invaders just unnecessarily drags on when they can insta-heal right next to you before running to camp into next group of enemies.

I don't know what you mean with that. What I said is that in DS3 estus chugging is far too fast and I wish it was slower like in DS2.

But the thing is in DS2, when one chugs Estus, the healing will still go through its full course, even when interrupted, it will keep healing.
In DS1 and 3, if one gets interrupted while healing, it will halt at what it managed to restore before being hit.

Adaptability.

Also, I like that the health bar fills up slower. It makes using Estus a much more important choice, rather than a panic button like it is in DS3!

I have never experienced this in DS3. I'm pretty sure that I would have noticed if it worked that way. I think the health bar filling animation is just for show and your actual health is restored immediately. But if you get hit during the animation then it will stop earlier since you have less health.
