Black Witch Staff Melee build

Just got invaded by a dude who was using a Black Witch Staff and he 1-shot my summon with it and then promptly 1-shot me with it. Had to have been hitting for about 1400-1500 damage. What the heck build is that!?

Sorry about that, with my stats it has a natural 1.3k AR and hits like a truck full of ♥♥♥♥♥. Also, co-opers pay the price.

Cheater. It has high AR, but doesn't hit that hard at all.

How do you get it to hit for that damage as a melee weapon? I understand it having high AR because of the mixed stats on the spellcaster portion but for it to hit like that in melee is incredible. What are your stats?
Also are you telling me that it won't 1 hit when there isn't a summon because thats stupid, you invaded me again right afterwards and 1 shot me again.
If you're cheating fine whatever, I kinda expect lowlife trash players to get kicks off of doing things like that, its DS so losers exist, if its not cheating I want to know what the heck build it is because thats insane damage.

Oh well, like I said, its DS I kinda expect the people invading to be total pricks, its very rare that I meet an invader that is willing to have an honorable fight. I just want to know how its done. That's insane damage and I have never been able to get mine to dish out like that.

Oi bruv, calling me a cheater is pretty mean, ya know? You were just outplayed by someone who knows the in-game systems better than you. Also, honoroble fights are a joke, especially if you're trying to have "uninterrupted co-op with your friends". But hey, I guess I shouldn't expect anything of substance from someone who needs to have his hand held throughout the entire game. I'll see both of ya again real soon.

You get called cheater because the bws doesn't deal melee dmg surpassing its ar lmao

Deals a couple hundred per bash, that's it.

As for hitting that hard in general, it definitely is possible. Obviously backstabs and such, but its doable with regular attacks too. Buffed ultra, greathammer etc jumping attacks during counter dmg frames. Probably chaos blade running or onehanded r2, Ive been hitting for four digit dmg with an uninfused resin buffed one, ring of blades 2 flynns ring leo ring.
The engraved gauntlets have a small crit chance. 50% extra dmg I believe?

But yea, not happening with casting tools.

Black Witches staff. It does magic, faith, dark, and I think physical or fire damage. Added up it can be over 1000 AR.

yeah I kinda expect damage like that coming from a chaos blade, I fought a guy earlier with one and he nailed me good but it wasn't any 1K damage, probably around 800 or so. I have decent armor on so not all damage is going to go through which is why I was so surprised that I got 1-shot with a melee BWS.

I didn't actually call you a cheat but if the shoe fits... Nobody said anything about uninterrupted co-op and I highly doubt you know the ingame systems that much better than I do. You still haven't said what your setup is to make it deal damage like that so I am starting to wonder if maybe you aren't just a cheater. Which makes sense all things considered because you do seem like the sort pathetic loser to need to cheat in order to actually be able to compete in pvp.

Dark infused, 50 int 50 fth level 150, all clutch rings and engraved gauntlets. This thing is built like a doomhammer. Also got a Vessel Shield in my offhand for some more stats.
