Wellp, is a little regular is true, 45 Strength and very heavy.

In PVE is good for the damage, in PVP is difficult to use, this is true, but if you need how to use, strategy for example, i did a video with this weapon, hope can help u :)

way too difficult to upgrade for what you get, you are better off using any other great str weapon

Not great weapon but not terrible either.
I recommand you to get yourself also Grym Greataxe which has higher base damage and better scalling.
If GSA pleases you more wth its combination of meveset and range pick it.
If GGA will please you more with moveset and range (dont forget that it has great 1H attack speed for an Great Axe) than of course choose it since it will let you to hit a little harder.

Also if you are interested in PvP keep in mind that even if this weapon is objectively not so good many enemues will have harder time fighting it than top tier weapons because they are not used to great axes.
