Most other thrusting swords don't infuse so well and/or aren't as good at lower DEX. Estoc would be another option (also bought from Lenigrast). It would be a little weaker than the Rapier (at 13STR/18DEX), but has a neat heavy attack (pierces shields, 1HR2 is a horizontal swing).
In the meantime, I guess I can try and see if lightning on the rapier helps my experience at all. Got the boltstone to do so, after all.
So many unique weapons and playstyles and people ALWAYS go for the poke poke dark bullcrap smh
LMAO triggered. I understand Ice Rapier but why hexer? Spells in general aren't that good outside of random invasions. And i'm pretty sure OP is mostly doing PvE atm.
I'm not a rapier user and a hexer in one character. They're two separate characters. :)
I did also ask for other interesting weapons for a pure dex character, to be fair to myself, but keep in mind that the rapier is for efficiency in catching up with all that I lost in my prior save. I'm all PvE, so it harms no one.
Well, the Spider Silk ain't bad if you pump DEX. It's the longest thrusting sword in the game and it has an interesting, albeit kind of useless, special attack. You can get that as soon as you've killed Freija. Espada Ropera is a straight upgrade from the Rapier and it's heavy "attack" is a decent parry, but it's very late-game.
Edit: Also don't infuse then. RoB+Flynn's+Leo Ring and you basically become god in PvE.
I just can't understand why everyone plays the same build over and over and over. Yeah its good and everything but how you don't get bored of using the same stuff?
Even if its for PvE I feel like all the weapon and build variety is wasted when u use a hexer+ice rapier like everyone does.
And if they think it's fun, then why the heck not?
If you're up to dropping any of those for a relatively low SM dexer, then I would be glad to try them! Most are out of reach though, and I recognize a few as being DLC material. :)
Well, the roaring halberd isn't so far off for the hexer. I'll try it for them.
The dex character is really the one catching up to my old save's content, though, so I'm trying to push them forward. Any help I can get counts, so I had to ask. :)
