Dual "Full Moon Sickles".
I found these weapons quite tricky but deadly so I leveled both my strength and dexterity to (together with rings) dual wield them. I found out that they are quite useful against bosses but whenever I'm fighting against real players or phantoms it would seem as if they are too impractical to be actually viable. They have small hitboxes and long animations that often leave the player exposed. Not only that but also very often the Sickles can bounce of the ceiling or walls due to large swings they are making.
Now I have a question. Are those weapons even worth using? What is the consensus in the Dark Souls 2 society?

They're bad and become terribad when powerstanced.

But I had figured that when not powerstanced primary light attack can be used indefinitly without the need to use the pull attack. One light attack in right and other in the left will cause the player to march with his sickles forward. This not only allows to stunlock the opponent but also use less stamina. Perhaps that redeems them?

It doesn't stunlock in pvp. Theyre still bad.

If only we could wield them the way the big guys in Huntsman's Copse do. Their "official" name is Artificial Undead. As far as i'm concerned they have 99 strength AND dex based on how they wield those things :steammocking:.

I do think that their main strength actually comes from infinite poise, however. If I were to actually swing those sickles just as they do I would not only swing really slowly and predictably but also on a short range, I would probably just get stuck on the wall if I were to do those LARGE swings they can.

if you want to have any chance of winning, use just one sickle.
