DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin

Ver estadísticas:
Is Emerald Herald a fragment of Manus?
majority of theories in the internet says Shanalotte is a potential "sister" of Nashandra and the DLC bosses and manipulated the player to replace Vendrick while hording souls.

I like the character though, I think as a player made a connection to her but since the story of DS2 is absurd I just want to know if she really was another fragment of Manus the DLC boss of DS1.

I thought it was confirmed that she's an artificially created half-dragon who the dragons actually consider one of their own.

Yes. I just reread the lore on her. And it seems like she was a baby human who was changed into a half dragon by the experimentation of Aldia. The first succes after many failures.

Id recommend reading the lore on wikidot. Its quite comprehensive.

She's supposedly some kind of mutant. The lore surrounding her is very messed up, she can't be both, because Dragons don't have Souls, which was a big thing in DS1 but was kind of forgotten or lazily ignored in DS2. Dragons are the opposite of dark beings, because one has a Soul and is the very essence of being, while the other has no soul and simply exists.

Aldi didnt fuse here with the soul of a dragon, but with a pertrified dragon bone. Also, speaking of which, you can collect the soul of an ancient dragon in this games. To craft the curved dragon greatsword.

...?

I'm pretty sure you get souls for killing Seath and those drakes in the original game...?

Well you do get souls as in currency, but you don't get Seath's soul. Instead you get Bequeathed Lord Soul Shard, part of Gwyn's soul.

You also don't get the Four Kings Soul, either. Or the Bed of Chaos Soul. Or the Gravelord Nito soul.

Well theres the conjunction. Dragons don't have souls. And you explicitly obtain a soul from a Dragon living in ash lake, this is because DS2's director wasn't best knowledgable of the lore. In DS1, Dragons don't drop boss souls upon death, instead, every one of them has a unique function, cutting their tails off will drop you their boss weapon.

Because neither have been afflicted by the curse, so they don't have souls. Gwyn is visually hollowed, however, which is why he drops a soul.

That's different. The currency souls that dragons drop are the ones they have consumed by killing people, just like you do.

Yes, i merely stated the ancient dragon as an odd exception. I am aware they dont have souls.
