Do not summon for fume knight.

It's only going to make the fight much harder for you.

Only if summon an NPC phantom since they deal almost no damage. Another player makes it easier.

Don't let Raime frustrate you :) He's supposedly the hardest boss in the game. Don't forget to use all your smelter wedges. Good luck next time ^^ I would help you but i can't. Nether one of my two char. currently has acess to raime.

I already beat him once. I wanted to get his other sword before beating the game. He's so much harder after using 1 bonfire ascetic.

Anyway,
I'm about to go at it again, if anyone is willing to help!

The thought of Fume Knight past NG is a little scary, not going to lie. He probably can even one shot players with ridiculously hp and defense.

He always one shots me when he moves to stage 2 of the fight.

Same here. Some people say stage 2 is easier because it's more predictable but I'll take him being unpredictable over getting one-shot (getting one shot is possible in stage 1 if you have like no armor on and not much vigor but it's unlikely that would happen on a normal character).

i have been helping people with raime for the past 2 days its the only place i can guarantee a summon for me so you can get me if need be. SM is 4.4 kk

Same here, cant dodge his attacks because Im an autistic ♥♥♥♥
Fume Knight is easier without summons, at least if you're decent at dodging and don't need someone else to tank. I recommend burning some Brightbugs (they make it a lot easier). If you don't have high enough HP (40-50 VGR), do some Giant Lord farming and get it up there. His most damaging attacks are easy to dodge.

is upgrading armor worth it? I haven't upgraded any.

Yes, heavy armor can really save your a** in PVE. Some bosses do so much damage that it feels like your fully upgraded heavy armor on is not doing much but trust me the damage you take from hard hitting bosses would just obliterate you if you wear wearing light armor like leather armor or mage "armor" like the lion mage set. After you beat Nashandra you can buy unlimited chunks from Chloanne but there are plenty of other ways to get a decent amount of chunks. Also Steady Hand McDuff (in the Lost Bastille) sells unlimited large titanite shards the moment you give him the dull ember.
