That's what I did, too. If you're doing a no bonfire no death run this strat becomes impossible anyway

then how you dit it? maxing vigor with full havel, or with a dex character?

Twindragon Greatshield, Mace. Mostly levels in Vigor, End and Adp, aming at breakpoints. Later a bit more than the 20 Str (shield-requirement), too. Armor was pretty irrelevant.

Also, buy lots of Lifegems. They were pretty useful.

I'd recommend to rather use a Rapier though, it's a better weapon for boss-slaying, and to keep the Mace (or any other blunt weapon) in your pocket to deal with annoying mobs like the Drakekeepers who're quite weak to blunt.

And don't do anything optional and unnecessary like killing the Pursuers all around the map for souls or ♥♥♥♥ like that. Ruined one of my attempts.

Strength build, use the normal club that you buy from the merchant in FoFG, buy a few of them if you're doing a no bonfire no death run at the same time. Also, get the blacksmiths hammer. That beast will put the hurt of anything and everything, even without an upgrade. Level up health and strength as high as you can, and get adp to at least 14 but higher is prefered, use the dranglic shield for 100% damage reduction, buy loads of life gems, find out where to find repair powders, and don't take a single risk that you don't need to

1. Buy rapier from blacksmith in Majula (you need key from merchant i FoFG).
2. Always buy lifegems.
3. Try to upgrade ur estus atleast for +3 and get 7 uses
4. Spent all points into stamina, dex (40), adp and hp.
5. Try to get flyn's ring (first dlc) and leo's ring (from old dragonslayer)
6. Try to upgrade rapier to +10
7. (Very risky) Try to get chloranthy ring +1
8. Buy 3 brightbugs (you can more) and try to beat Rotten 4 times. I prefer killing him 3 times and killing najka and sinner (you need to get (1 mln sm so wear silver serpent ring +1 from melentia)
9. Open shrine and make it to the Shrine of Amana
10. NOW TIME FOR ULTIMATE CHEESE!!!!! Infuse rapier with lightning and use lightning shortbow (or longbow +7 from first dlc)
11. Beat velstadt and kill throne duo after that (summon benhart for him, but before summoning him use brightbug)
12. Get heart mist and beat giant lord.
13. ♥♥♥♥ up Nashandra.
14. Watch unskipable credits.
15. Use your brand new illusory ring.

You guys have a lot of tactics for that , that's for sure.I just thought ,,hey , maybe i'll do myself a no death run'' and i kinda forgot about it being ng+7.Still done it though.
Yeti.^^ Sep 24, 2017 @ 1:26pm
Just have a bit of patience and you'll do it fine.
Dobzse Sep 24, 2017 @ 5:03pm
I already have the lion ring, chloranthy ring +1 and 3 brightbug. So the hammer and the mace is so good? I usually fight with halberds and never used rapiers. I also prefer drangleic shield and high adp.

Started using the standard club myself in a pure strength build. Loving the ♥♥♥♥ out of it.

Things are amazing with nice damage.

Try duel wielding them if you haven't already :)
