Crossbow Build

I searched forums for any tips on crossbow build but couldn't find any helpful posts. I don't want to use sanctum crossbow as I don't intend to put points in int or faith. So if anybody has any good suggestions, please do share. I thought of doing bow only run but it's been out there for a while now so I decided to do crossbow run. Also I need a backup weapon in case I run out of bolts.

Back when DSII was first released, Havenlyn was the root of PvP cancer. So there's that.

None of them scale, so it kinda doesn't matter what you level. 10 Str, 6 Dex, twohand the Heavy Crossbow. It's a lot more efficient than the Avelyn. Infuse it with Raw.

Thie Shield Crossbow is actually a pretty viable choice because it doubles as a 100% phys block shield (with gargabe stability), stat requirements are similar and it has just a tad less AR.

I started with warrior to have enough stats to wield light crossbow

Budgeted build is bad no matter what, but you should start as a Knight. You do not need Atn, Int and Fth and you only need 10 Str and 6 Dex to twohand the Heavy Crossbow.
You start with decent Vigor, End and Adp and have enough stats to wield a crossbow.
