Uchigatana.
It might be because i tend to hit the walls in confined spaces, but the durability seems WAY too low. I'm pretty sure i can't increase it, only with that ring. But is the durability really this ridiculously low or am i just hitting walls?

The durability is just low... On ds2 durability is low af in almost every equip!

Can i buy repair dust anywhere that's not limited? The only ones i've seen so far are limited to 1 buy.

Katanas always break fast. Uchigatana's description even says it. That is what makes them a bit impractical for PvE. You can't buy infinite repair powder until you reach Drangleic castle but if you happen to have enough INT then you can use the Repair sorcery.

I'm doing a swordsman, dodging using i-frames. I don't have the attunement for a single spell, neither do i have enough souls. :/

its a good idea for a dex build like that to have some int for spells like chameleon or repair, chameleon makes invasions hilarious

There's a ring in Sinner's Rise(behind a hidden door) that gives you one attunement slot. You have already been there but probably didn't find it. That one slot is useful for casting spells like Warmth or Flame Weapon which have no casting requirements or casting low requirement utility spells. After you reach Iron Keep you can reduce INT and FTH requirements of any spell to minimum of 10 as long as you have enough spices.

durability is ♥♥♥♥, that is why must have 2 weapons if you go deep.
Also using thrust weapons makes you does not lick the walls after each attack, but also you can spot that durability gets down after each successfull attack on the enemy also

iirc getting enough INT to cast Repair also gives you enough for Chameleon, Fall Control, and Yearn, three other utility sorceries that all are incredibly useful in some areas.

<looks things up>

Okay, Yearn needs 4 more points of INT than the other three, so perhaps it's not worth it.

Also, if you hold it in one hand, try using the heavy attack as well. It's a lunge-stab that's much easier to use in corridors and stuff.

...it gets pretty bad towards later levels if you don't know what you're doing... like me.

I had uchigatana, a spear, and a staff as my weapons to go through a certain level.
By the time I got to the boss, all three were heavily damaged.
And, during the boss fight, they all got down to 1 durability, and I had to rush through my inventory (while running and hiding) to find something to use as a weapon (that I actually had appropriate stats for).

So... yeah... be sure to know how to aim and not spam attacks blindly.

Sinner's Rise ey? I have not been there quite yet, i'm working on the Sentinels right now. But where would i find repair? And how many casts does it have? Probably 1 yh?

This is the kind of stuff what Google's for.

Fair enough.

The Bracing Knuckle Ring slows weapon degradation and is found in the Lost Bastille behind a couple Illusory Walls and past a Pursuer. It should help, even if its just the regular version and not +1 or +2.

Once you get to Drangleic Castle you'll want to buy the +1 version immediately. I forgot where the +2 version was, but it definitely exists in regular NG so you don't have to Bonfire Ascetic.

Undead Crypt, you can pick it up near the 2nd bonfire.
