Enemies before Velstadt
What do I have to do to stop the endless spawning of enemies in front of Velstadt's/Vendrick's bossroom?

Don't let anything hit the bells.

There's a bell underneath where you come in at. Hanging out there and killing stuff with a weapon that won't hit the bell with the arc is your best bet. When enemies stop coming it's safe to move on.

under the stairs there is a bell, there is a zombie standing next to it, as well as one on the left side of the hall. If you kill both of those ones another zombie will pop out of the ground next to the bell. If you kill those 3 zombies nothing will ring the bells.

Dash to the bossfog without fighting anyone, running along one of the walls.

Yea, that's what I did the first time, but now I want to return and there won't be a fogdoor to protect me

They won't follow you far into the bossroom. If you stand within that pillar of light or further into the room you're fine

Also, the trio of bell-ringing zombies have WAY more than 12 respawns, so you'll need to kill them each time to get a safe waltz to the boss room. (took like 50 tries to beat him as my twink, but I finally did it earlier today! Wooo, celebrations~)

You've heard the tip about staying in his left knee so he can't hit you? It seems that if you stray outside of the knee a bit, he's pretty much guaranteed to get baited into using attacks instead of jumping back, and then you just need to get back under his knee again to be safe. You can still get smoshed into a corner and lose the ability to circle around him properly, but him not jumping away (and then following up with some long-range oneshot) ever 30 seconds helps tremendously.

I've killed the boss before, I only want to return to kill Vendrick :)

Talked about advice for Vendrick :P

Also, btw, if you can pancake the ghost warriors (2H greathammer or any pillar spell), they can't EVER get up again. Try it out sometime, it looks hilarious x3

Ah, thanks! Vendrick turned out to be harder than I thought, so this is helpful!
