Royal Swordsman Set: Any Good?

Basically, I've just killed the Lost Sinner and am wondering if it's worth farming these royal swordsmen I see around the Lost Bastille for their armour. I can see the differences in the raw stats compared with the Alva set (what I'm wearing), but I'm still quite new so I don't know how armours match up later game.

Well that depends on what you are looking in a set, fashion? stats? some decent effect?

Id say its worth farming, its not a bad set in my opinion, but whether or not you should switch from the alva set to that is up to you, as the alva set is also quite good. Either set could very well carry you through the game.

Compared to the Alva set, the royal swordsman one gives you a tad more protection and poise, but is heavier.
Not that much of a difference though, so just use whichever you like the most ;)

Fashion is the only stat that matters, so no, it's not worth it.

yeah stats other than poise don't really matter that much

The pants go great with a lot of armors.

For example:
Dark Mask
Havel's Gauntlets
Executioner Armor
Royal Swordsman's Leggings
