How to farm infinite bonfire ascetics ?

So you can farm twinkling titanites and dragon bones in 1st dlc, but in sotfa you can't do this infinitely anymore. Do you know any ,,fast" methods to farm them ?

Go in the Pilgrims of the dark covenant. Keep killing the blue phantoms that spawn there. They have a high chance of dropping ascetics. You can keep replaying those levels if you speak to Darkdiver Grandahl.

Go to first bonfire in ladia's keep (the one outside) and keep ascetic it, 1 of petrified zombies drop 3 ascetics (so you have +2 profit) also you can loot surroundings for more loot :D

Ascetics respawn the lucatiel's brother so you will need to kill this red phantom each time, but area is good because you can get to petrified zombie relatively fast (It doesn't petrify once you use ascetic so you need only 1 fragrant of yore, when you unpetrify ogre then it's even faster) after you take loot from zombie just use aged feather - ascetic - repeat



Also in pilgrims - after you finish all 3 locations including lurker boss you don't need to pay effingies to open them

also,if you're the invading (or just a pvper) type,you can invade others in the Dark Chasms of Old (the Pilgrim's of Dark areas) and get an ascetic for killing the host,without gaining any sin

or kill an invader in the same place and get an ascetic that way

you won't get the normal items from doing that though,just the ascetic,but its an option if you dont like fighting the enemies or what-not

basically,just farm in the Dark Chasms of Old (like others have suggested),though some are also able to be bought from Grandahl and a few other npcs,should you not be as concerned with spending some souls on cosumables over levels and/or gear

You can farm dragon bone from Lair of The Imperfect (specifically by killing the Imperfect, aka the undead T-Rex things), with certain weapons you can kill them pretty quickly but they're still challenging enough that it's fun to fight them. They drop Dragon Scales as well if you want to make progress on the dragon covenant as a side-effect. Going backwards from the 3rd bonfire in Shrine of Amana is the best way to farm Twinkling Titanite afaik, there's a bunch of archdrakes and priestesses close together (all can drop Twinkling Titanite) and they're all turning their back to you so you can sneak up for some easy kills. Plus of course SWEET REVENGE.

I know, but my way is way easier (5 runs = fully upgraded twinkling titanite weapons and fully upgraded petrified bones weapon)

Basically just like everyone said, you'd have the easiest time as a Pilgrim of Dark. Enemies have a pretty good drop chance, so you're good to go I guess.

By the way the unpetrified undead in Aldia's keep only drops 2 ascetics, so you'll get 1 per run
