a) slightly lower requirements and weight in case you prefer that over the higher base-damage and only 1 scaling-stat
b) higher damage at high Str/Dex due to scaling
c) slightly longer range
It's honestly all "slightly" and the Bandit's Axe is a lot better for a meta-character.
The Bandit Axe has a 55 scaling, the Battle Axe a 55/15. The former has 310 base, the latter 280. The former would get 110 scaling at max stats, so has 420 AR. The latter gains 140 scaling, so has 420 AR aswell. A tie. So you'd rather pick the Battle Axe. But the damage isn't higher, indeed.
hmm, there's a discrepancey. the two wikis say 310 and 290 for the base damage on the bandit axe and battle axe. The ar calculater sheet has it at 290 and 250.
battle axe uninfused +10: 280 + 188 scaling = 468 ar
bandit axe uninfused +10: 310 + 173 scaling = 483 ar
