How to fight the Belfry Gargoyles without Branch?
How do I get in there without a branch. I know you need one, but I'm curious if this is a possible skip. I have a pharos lockstone, but how to do you get to sevants' quarters?

you can get the branch from the other pathway from the pursuer battle in forest of fallen giant

Pretty sure you don't need a branch. Take the Wharf route to the Bastille. Run past the Pursuer, up the ladder, through the room, up the elevator. Go down every flight of stairs from there and you should reach the Servant's Quarters. I've never done it like this without fighting the Ruin Sentinals first, but it should work. Makes me wonder if you could even enter their arena from that side.
Edit: unless the elevator isn't down for you when you get there.
Second edit: nah, it must be. I'm pretty sure the Sentinals are optional, after all.

Hold on. I just looked up a SotFS walkthrough of Lost Bastille and it looks like a wooden door leading from Servant's Quarters to the rampart with the key on it. Can that not be broken by attacking it?

??? what wooden door the only way to servant quarter is by defeating the sentinel, the gate(which open from the servant quarter side) and the roof (if someone have butterfly set)

if you are talking about the wooden door downstair nah uh the gate will still hold you off

Okay, I just checked it. Yeah, the gate at the top of the tower. You'd run into it from the wrong side if you took the elevator up. Although I'm gonna check again. Might be a way to jump around from where the Pursuer spawns on that upper level.

nope no way by the map design it is not possible
ArVrok 6 ABR 2017 a las 18:59
Nope. Running past it and hopping in through the open window still puts you on the wrong side of the gate. And there's nowhere to jump around it from the outside. It was almost the perfect scheme.

I think they just wanted to avoid using a branch. They're a little scarce at the beginning of the game so maybe they wanted to avoid the fight in favour of more estus shards or something.
