those ones in the final cutscene are "golems" are were made by vendrick werent they? you only see them in his castle after all.and i follow the idea that there are multiple different {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}"giants".in 3 Yhorm is a giant, and the stormruler(s) say they do extra damage against giants, but only on Yhorm, who is the only "Giant" like giant that we see in 2.
And as far as I can tell there are at least two versions or races(?) of giants. One with faces, like blacksmith in Anor Londo and second Giants that Vendrick pissed off.(the one with face in one of the memories in ds2 is kinda a easter egg, at early stages of creation of ds2 all of the giants had faces like this one unique)
Those giants in Dranleic Castle(and not only, 3rd DLC), I am pretty sure those are closer to machine then living beings.
P.S. Size of some bosses and enemies are enlarged. Size resembles power(I think it is from japanese culture, correct me if I'm wrong). And I remeber Miyazaki saying something like: Fighting bosses regular size, same as player, would not have same impact as fighting someone bigger then You.
It has to do with psychology of course. There were theories that "true" Gwyn size is/were as a simple man, player. I am not sure, tho, if Dark Souls 3 did not killed this theory.
In the end, it is game, and You need to take the post scriptum with a grain of salt.
Also, Dark Souls 2 lore is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and I would advice to not go to dig too deep with it as there is no deep after all.
Okay, its the same reason.... but what is that reason?
Honestly, I think a lot of it is just supposed to be vague and obscure, I mean how many NPCs that look human say things indicating they are not actually human.
So does that mean that whatever race they are, they are a type of giant, and Gwyn and Gwyndolin for example are just midget giants?
